Who We Are
Meet Hannah + Trent
Since making Seward their home in 2012, Hannah and Trent Lafleur, along with their two daughters, have dedicated themselves to sharing the wonder of Kenai Fjords. With decades of experience guiding guests through Alaska’s wild landscapes, supported by an expert team of guides, they aim to inspire and educate guests about Alaska’s fragile wilderness, the importance of preservation, and the joy of kayaking as a way to explore their beautiful home.
Meet our Guides
Our guides are the heart of Kayak Adventures. Their passion and expertise turn every tour into a meaningful connection with Alaska’s wild places.
Longest Training in Alaska
We conduct the longest training of any sea kayak operator in the state. This ensures every guide is well-prepared to lead memorable trips in challenging environments.
Beyond their technical expertise, our guides share a deep-rooted love for the wilderness and the local community. Each tour is filled with their unique ecological, geological, and historical insights — and usually the best local spots for a post-tour IPA or bite to eat.
Our Training Includes
- Leave-No-Trace Training – low-impact practices for Alaska’s wild places
- ACA Level 2 or higher skill assessment – sea kayaking skills and rescues
- ACA Day Trip Leadership assessment – trip leading skills for sea kayakers
- Wilderness First Responder Certification – wilderness medical skills
