This trip is a wonderful option for getting a little further out in Resurrection Bay, but still keeping the creature comforts of home!  The water taxi will take you from the small boat harbor in town and drop you right at Kayakers Cove.  You can leave your gear in the "hostel" or cabins, and use that as a base camp for the next two days.  Leave from there and explore the coastline!  On the afternoon of the second day, the water taxi will pick you up right from Kayakers Cove and bring you back to the harbor.  We'll be there waiting to bring you, the guide, and the gear back to our shop downtown.

This is the most cost effective overnight excursion.  The trip includes 2 days of guided sea kayaking along the beautiful Resurrection Peninsula.  The itinerary is up to you and the guide with options to explore Fox Island, the Resurrection Peninsula, Humpy and Thumb Coves.  You'll get into outer Resurrection Bay where you're likely to encounter sea lions, sea otters, eagles, plenty of sea birds and a chance to see whales.  We'll provide an experienced guide, all kayak and safety gear and hostel accomodations at Kayakers Cove.  It's a beautiful, primitive hostel with great views of Resurrection Bay.  The hostel has comfortable shared living, dining, kitchen, and sleeping facilities.  Private cabins are available at a slightly higher cost.  You provide appropriate clothing layers for kayaking, your own sleeping bag, and your own food (pots, pans, utensils, etc are out there).

Our guides are experienced, well trained paddlers and naturalists.  This trip is not only a great paddling opportunity but also a great chance to learn about Alaska's wildlife and natural history.

Additional days available at extra cost.
