Gratuity / Tipping

Our guides work in the industry because they love being outdoors, teaching others, and meeting people like you.  None of us are in this line of work for the money.  That said, like wait staff at a restaurant, our guides' wages are determined with gratuity in mind.  It is the industry standard to leave a tip for your guide if you had an enjoyable trip.  Please keep this in mind when the time comes.  Gratuity is always appreciated!

Larger group bookings are often a fair amount more work for our guides.  In order to ensure their extra work is compensated, we will charge all group bookings of 6 or more people a 10% gratuity up front.  If you were really happy with the job the guide did, please feel free to tip beyond this minimum.  Aside from this required gratuity, we will not accept credit card payment for tips.  Please arrive on the day of your trip with enough cash to appropriately compensate your guide.

Thanks so much for understanding, and helping to keep our guides motivated and excited about all the information they have to pass on.  They work really hard to provide the best experience possible for you, and a little reward for a job well done goes a long way!
