Full-Day Alaska Sea Kayaking Trips

If you're going to be in town long enough to do a full-day trip, we highly recommend spending the time out on the water.  In comparison with the half-day trips, the full-day trips allow you to explore more of the coastline, give a greater opportunity for wildlife viewing, and allow options to travel further away from Seward into Alaska's great wilderness.  Please take the time to look through our options listed on the right, where you can view photos, read descriptions, and learn which trip will best fulfill your hopes for the day.

All of our full-day trips include lunch, snacks, hot drinks, and juice.  Please be sure to let us know about any dietary restrictions for lunch when you book!  And we'll also give you a drybag so you can bring a camera and some extra warm layers along with you.

For these trips, we ask you to wear synthetic layers of clothing - as cotton and jeans get really cold if they get wet.  We also ask that you bring a rain coat and rain pants, since this is coastal rainforest!  We have rain gear for rent at our shop, should you need it.  Your feet might get wet when launching or landing, so please bring footwear that will keep you warm, that you're comfortable walking in, and that you don't mind potentially getting a bit wet.  (water sandals, running shoes, hiking boots, etc are all fine options)  If it seems like a cold day, we rent pogies (neoprene mitts for your hands while kayaking) which will keep your hands much warmer and more comfortable while you're out there.  You'll also want to be sure to have your own bottle of water (we sell it, if you need it), sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.

We recommend booking your trip ahead of time to ensure that we have a guide available for you.  All of these full-day trips must be booked before our office closes at 7pm the night before.  If you are traveling with a large group, a family, or just want to ensure that the trip will be possible - we recommend booking the trip well in advance.  This is especially true for trips that use a water taxi, since we also have to make sure they have space on the day you'd like to go!

FAMILIES:
If you're traveling with children under the age of 14, we'll do a custom family trip for you.  You need to pay at least a 3-person minimum, but otherwise it's the same cost as the regular trip, and we'll provide a guide just for your group.  This is for safety reasons, speed, and enjoyment of the trip.  Often children have different needs on a trip like this, and we want to be able to cater to those needs and provide a positive experience.  We also have two triple kayaks that we can use for younger children (all participants have to be 6 years or older) and odd numbers.
We also will need to consider the adult-to-child ratio for family trips, and will need to be sure we have at least one adult in every boat.
