Our Cancellation Policy
Cancellations by Kayak Adventures WorldwideAlthough we rarely cancel trips, we reserve the right to cancel a trip for any reason whatsoever, including too few participants, logistical problems, or circumstances which may make the operation of the trip inadvisable. If we cancel the trip as provided above we will refund all payments made to us, minus a $25 / person fee. Our guides pack the trip, the food, and all the gear ahead of time, and when trips cancel at the last minute - a lot of effort and money has already gone into it. This fee helps to cover our guide costs, even when a trip cancels. This refund will be the limit of our liability. We will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by you in preparing for the trip including non-refundable or penalty- carrying airline tickets, special clothing, visa or passport fees, or other trip related expenses.
Weather Delays and Cancellations
Guided Trips and tours may be delayed by weather without any price adjustment or refund. Trips and tours in progress may be canceled or delayed at any point due to poor weather conditions if in the opinion of the guide continuation would be hazardous. Cancellations due to weather are determined by the senior on-site staff on the day of the activity. Any rental or guided trip may be canceled by the lead guide upon notification by the National Weather Service of a small craft advisory in the waters in question.
Cancellations made due to weather are refunded or credited toward other services at our discretion
For extended rentals, refunds will be issued for each day separately. For example, if day one of your five day rental is cancelled due to weather, you will receive a refund for that one day. If you cancel the remaining portion of your five day rental you will not receive a refund for the remaining four days. Rentals may be delayed up to two hours before a cancellation is determined for that day. Rentals returned late due to poor weather will not be penalized with a late return fee but will be charged for any additional rental days.
Cancellations by Client
Failure to make payment on your reservation as stated in Reservation Information, or failure or refusal to submit the unmodified liability waiver provided to you, or non-participation in a reserved activity is a cancellation by you. Other cancellations by you are effective when received by one of our reservation agents.
If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your scheduled trip, you will be refunded 90% of your total invoice.
If you cancel 15-30 days prior to your scheduled trip, you will be refunded 80% of your total invoice.
If you cancel 7-15 days prior to your scheduled trip, you will be refunded 50% of your total invoice.
If you cancel within 7 days of your scheduled trip, there will be no refund.
** If you provide a signed note from your doctor, confirming true medical reasons for the cancellation… we will discuss these situations on a case-by-case basis.
