Basic House Guidelines

There aren't too many rules at the lodge... we mostly just hope that everyone will treat our home like their own.  Mutual respect for our home and the other people you will be sharing it with goes a long way.

House Guidelines:

No pets allowed.

No shoes in the house (shoe rack provided inside the front door).

Children must be supervised at all times around the house… especially when outside or near the hot tub!

Quiet hours from 11pm - 7am.

Please do not feed our dogs.

No smoking inside... outside, butts must be placed in provided containers, and not left lying on the ground.

Please do not leave any food products outside the lodge.  There are bears in the area, and we do not want to encourage them to come around!  This is for everyone’s safety, including the bears’.  Please do not approach or feed any wildlife that comes by the lodge.

Please do not light a fire in the fireplace or the fire pit outside unless we are home.

If you want to use the hot tub, please follow the directions carefully (hanging near the hot tub).  And if you have any problems, please let us know right away.  Always re-cover the hot tub as soon as you are finished using it.

If anything in the house breaks, please advise us so we can fix it promptly and keep the lodge functional for the next people to arrive.

If you make a mess, please clean it up.  This includes putting your dishes in the dishwasher and wiping down the counter / table.  Other people will be sharing the same space, so please leave things as you would like to find them.

Please remove your towels and toiletries from the shared bathroom when you are done.  The next person would like a clean bathroom, too.

HOT TUB RULES AND WARNING:

Never soak alone.  Please be sure you have a “buddy” to soak with.

No children under the age of 16 allowed.

Recommended soaking time of 15 minutes.
Please beware that consuming alcoholic beverages while in the hot tub increases dehydration, intoxication, and the risk of accidents.

If you have high or low blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, or are pregnant – you should only soak with a doctor’s permission.

Beware that hair can become tangled in the jets and drains.  Please keep your head above water, and do not splash, jump, or play in the tub.

Do not use any electrical devices while soaking in the tub.

Beware that the deck can become slippery when wet.  No running, and be careful!

Always replace the hot tub cover immediately after use.
